Managed Gateway Service (MGS)
Built on open, standards-based protocols, the Managed Gateway Service combines the latest in network security standards with round-the-clock management and monitoring to provide an organization with a robust security solution. The service includes all the necessary hardware and works with your current Internet service provider's connection (a static IP address is required). The MGS provides your organization with the following features:
Enterprise-grade Firewall.
Using the reliable open source IPFW2 software for its firewall component, the Managed Gateway Service protects your local network by scanning incoming and outgoing traffic and accepting or rejecting the communication based on custom filters to fit your needs. The MGS appliance can also act as a DHCP server and DNS forwarder. Host your own web server out of your office? No problem, we can configure the service to allow limited access to these resources based on network port or IP address.
Secure Branch Office Connectivity.
Whether you have a branch office across town or across the country, the MGS can enable secure communication between your corporate office and a remote site (remote site must also be a subscriber to the service) via an "always-on" encrypted connection.
Round-the-clock Management & Monitoring.
Every MGS subscriber receives 24/7/365 monitoring, which verifies connectivity and checks for suspicious traffic entering your company's local network. We work with your ISP on your behalf to ensure Internet connectivity uptime at your office. And Samba Networks will always be available via email or telephone if you have any questions regarding your secure connection.
Delivery Channel for Additional Services.
If your organization decides to take full advantage of any of our outsourced infrastructure service offerings, the Managed Gateway Service will ensure secure delivery of these resources to your company via an encrypted permanent "tunnel" between our enterprise data center facility and your office.
VPN Remote Access Service (VPNRAS)
Designed for the "road warriors" of your company, the VPN Remote Access Service provides your employees with the ability to securely dial into the office over a high speed connection such as a hotel WiFi Internet access* and access email, files, or any other company network resource through a secure session. No additional software is necessary on the employee laptop and setup is a snap on Windows XP and Mac OS X computers.
